I want to voice my concern that these strict age brackets are a form of collective punishment that will damage the user experience without actually solving the root problem.

Isolating chat based on age effectively silences the vast majority of innocent players who just want to socialize and roleplay. Meanwhile, predatory users (bad actors) who are determined to break the rules will simply find ways to bypass these checks or move off-platform, leaving legitimate players with a broken, silent experience.

We shouldn’t have to sacrifice our ability to communicate and build communities because of a few individuals. Roblox should be investing in smarter detection and moderation, not “safety theater” that restricts the freedom of 99% of its innocent user base. Please do not let the actions of a few ruin the platform for everyone else.

The real issue here isn’t that players are talking; it’s that the current AI moderation and reporting systems are ineffective.

We all know the current automated moderation is notoriously unreliable—often tagging innocent phrases while letting actual predatory behavior slide. This is the same with the catalog. Almost 80% of the UGC content is either sexual content (mostly emotes) or copyrighted material. Your AI doesn’t flag any of it. You literally give bad actors the resources to exploit children in a erotically way INSIDE OF YOUR EXPERIENCES.

Clean up your catalog. Fix your AI moderation. Hire more human moderators.
